Lorraine Kelly was every inch the proud mum on Monday as she paused her ITV to share some family news.

The television presenter, 64, spoke about her daughter Rosie's engagement after the 29-year-old made the announcement on Instagram.

Speaking to Adil Ray and Susanna Reid from Good Morning Britain, Lorraine said: 'Rosie and her Steve got engaged which is fantastic. He is wonderful. He asked Steve permission, went done on one knee.'

Of how both her husband and her future son-in-law share the same name, the host admitted: 'It's quite confusing Susanna, it's quite confusing. When I shout Steve they both turn around.'

The GMB presenters had joked they would focus on the happy news rather than Lorraine's beloved Scottish team crashing out of the Euros.
