Hugh Jackman is counting down the days until the release of his next project.

The Australian actor, 55, reprises the role of Wolverine for the latest installment in the Deadpool franchise, Deadpool & Wolverine.

Taking to social media on Tuesday, the Hollywood star shared an image on set of the upcoming film.

The Oscar nominee could be seen walking to his trailer in a coat, hiding his costume underneath.

Ahead of the film's premiere, he simply captioned the post '1 month.'

Fans took to the comment section to celebrate and throw support behind the The Greatest Showman star following his split from wife Deborra-Lee Furness.

'I hope on the inside your life is as wonderful as it looks on the outside. That would be absolutely stellar,' one fan wrote.

'Here in Italy it comes out on July 24th, I can't wait... Thank you for this beautiful birthday present take care Sir,' another comnmented.

Last year, Hugh announced he had split from long-time wife Deborra-Lee after 27 years of marriage.

The former couple revealed to fans that they had separated 'to pursue our individual growth'.

'Our family has been and always will be our highest priority. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness. We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition.'

The former couple signed the statement as 'Deb and Hugh Jackman,' adding: 'This is the sole statement either of us will make.'

The pair had tied the knot in 1996 after crossing paths on set of Correlli in 1995.

During the course of their marriage, they adopted two children: son Oscar, 23, and daughter Ava, 18.
