Carmela Chirinos was a social media fellow at Fortune in 2022. She previously worked on a New York-based news show as a social media manager, interned in France assisting refugees seeking asylum, and interned in Peru conducting market research for the government. She graduated from Syracuse University with a triple major in international relations, sociology, and French, and from Fordham University with a master's in media management.
