In 2023, we partnered with Planète Urgence, an organization committed to cultivating enduring reconciliation between humanity and the planet. 🌍 Operating across Ecuador, Peru, Togo, Benin, Cameroon, Madagascar, Indonesia, and Cambodia, Planète Urgence focuses on various initiatives including agroforestry, bioenergy, climate action, mangrove preservation, capacity building, and raising awareness. 🧑🌾 In 2023, the FARE project by Planète Urgence saw an increased community interest in cashew farming and other species. Strong cooperatives partnered with African Commodities, while local producers received capacity-building support for environmental awareness and sustainable practices. Collaborative efforts with Benoue National Park were undertaken for the restoration and monitoring of vital corridors. 🪵 During Phase 1 of the MOSOTRY project, the focus was on establishing new Forest Management Units (VOI) and rehabilitating forest landscapes. Capacity-building initiatives were launched within local communities, accompanied by comprehensive environmental awareness campaigns and the development of educational tools.
