This World Day for Safety and Health at Work we look at the harmful impacts of #ClimateChange: ☀️Excessive Heat and Solar UV radiation 🏭Air pollution 🌊Extreme weather Whilst all workers may be impacted by climate change globally, women workers may be at increased risk due to their life stages and job roles, including in subsistence agriculture. Pregnant women are more vulnerable to health stressors such as extreme heat, air pollution and other climate-related events. Pregnancy-related complications include hypertension, miscarriages and stillbirths. We need urgent protective measures in workplaces globally. 👉Source: International Labour Organization's new report https://lnkd.in/dD3gm7N4 #SafeDay2024
