Gladiators is a thrilling new series on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. In each episode, plucky contestants take on the might of the 16 awesome Gladiators in the ultimate sporting contest. They'll face new and exciting challenges that push strength and speed to their limits... Can anyone defeat the Gladiators?

The names of the Gladiators are: Apollo, Athena, Bionic, Comet, Diamond, Dynamite, Electro, Fire, Fury, Giant, Legend, Nitro, Phantom, Sabre, Steel and Viper. Here they all are in the opening titles for Gladiators. Which Gladiator is your favourite?
There will be 11 episodes in this series of Gladiators, which starts this month.
Gladiators is presented by father and son team Barney and Bradley Walsh.
To keep all the Gladiators mayhem in check, you need some careful refereeing. Fortunately, just the right refs are in charge!
There's ex- Premier League referee Mark Clattenburg, former English netball international Sonia Mkoloma and gold-winning Ultimate Firefighter Lee Phillips. So no messing about, Gladiators and contestants!

Gladiators is taking a break on Saturday 16th March for the FA Cup. The next episode is on BBC One and BBC iPlayer on Saturday 23rd March and sees the contenders battling it out for a place in the Gladiators Final!
