'The most beautiful race track in the world' is the most common epithet awarded to the Rolex Middle Sea Race. This celebrated offshore classic commences and concludes in Malta's historic capital Valetta but not before taking in the Italian islands of Sicily, Stromboli, Pantelleria and Lampedusa. This year's edition, the 43rd in the illustrious history of the Mediterranean's most demanding 600 mile offshore race, will be remembered for light winds, dogged determination and remarkable imagery from the racecourse. The 2022 race witnessed an intense battle between a world-class Maxi yacht entry as well as sterling performances from the amateur crews that embody the ethos of this race.
