Highlights: Newry's bottom spot confirmed as Carrick win at Showgrounds

Carrick Rangers' 3-1 win at the Showgrounds guarantees that Newry City will finish bottom of this season's Irish Premiership.

Newry's fate will not be determined until the conclusion of the Championship title race. If leaders Portadown defeat Dundela on Saturday then Newry will face automatic relegation.

A fortunate Ciaran O'Connor goal put Newry ahead in the fourth minute but Carrick were 3-1 by half-time after goals from Curtis Allen, David Cushley (penalty) and Danny Gibson.
