Omagh CBS retain the Hogan Cup: Tyrone school beat Mercy Mounthawk to lift Hogan Cup

Omagh CBS retained the Hogan Cup and their status as All-Ireland champions with a 3-14 to 0-11 victory over Mercy Mounthawk at Croke Park.

Three second-half goals, two from Ruairi McCullagh and one from Paudi Dillon, sent the Tyrone school on their way to a third success in the competition.

CBS twice trailed in the first half but battled back to go in 0-7 to 0-6 up at half time despite a black card to McCullagh.

Stand-out performer Charlie Donnelly produced an impressive return of five points from midfield as the reigning champions saw out the win with a comfortable 12 point victory.

In the Paddy Buggy Cup (schools All-Ireland hurling final), St. Killian's College of Carnlough beat Waterford's Blackwater Community School by 4-13 to 0-13.
