Samson Lee: Dwayne Peel pays tribute to 'amazing character'

Scarlets head coach Dwayne Peel says retiring prop Samson Lee is "a champion bloke" and will be a huge loss for the region.

Wales tight-head Lee, and his family, will lead out the Scarlets side for the Boxing Day derby against Ospreys at Parc y Scarlets having been forced to quit rugby because of an Achilles injury.

Lee, who played 45 internationals for his country and was part of the 2019 Grand Slam-winning squad, had been struggling to return since suffering the injury in March 2022.
