League One Fleetwood Town have brought in five players on deadline day.

They have signed St Patrick's forward Tommy Lonergan for an undisclosed fee on a two-and-a-half-year deal and defender Finley Potter on an 18-month deal from Sheffield United.

Bournemouth's Gavin Kilkenny, Everton teenager Elijah Campbell and Brighton and Hove Albion full-back Imari Samuels have all joined on loan.

The Cod Army are bottom of League One, 11 points adrift of safety.

Lonergan, 20, who has represented Republic of Ireland up to under-19 level, scored as St Patrick's won the FAI Cup in November.

Potter spent the first half of the season on loan in the National League with Barnet, but the 19-year-old has signed a permanent contract at Highbury with the option of an extra year.

Dublin-born Kilkenny, 24 has featured just once for the Cherries this season, as a substitute in the fourth round FA Cup win over Swansea City. The midfielder had loan spells last season with Stoke City and Charlton Athletic.

Central defender Campbell, 19, is yet to play for the Toffees' first team, but he has featured for them in the EFL Trophy.

Samuels, 21, is in the same position, having also only played in the EFL Trophy for the Seagulls.

All three loan moves are until the end of the season.

The new players will all be eligible for Charlie Adam's struggling side in Saturday's home game against Port Vale.
