West Ham v Viborg (19:45 BST)

    West Ham United

McKinlay is first up because Moyes is suspended for the match. He's asked about last year's run to the Europa League semi-final: "Hopefully we can go one step further this year. Last season was terrific for everybody connected with the club. Unfortunately we fell a little short at the end, but we want to go on another European adventure this year."

Harvey: Arsenal stole a Top 4 finish from a poorly Spurs team in 2006. It was the last game at Highbury. Thierry completed his hat-trick with a penalty and kissed the turf goodbye in celebration. What a day.

Block20Gooner: Favourite Henry moment? I was in the San Siro November 2003 to see him absolutely destroy Inter in a 5-1 win. He was unplayable that night. How did he not win a Balon D’or?

  6. Nunes set for Wolves after widespread interest

Wolves have agreed a club record €45m (£38m) fee with Sporting Lisbon for Portugal midfielder Matheus Nunes.

Since signing for Sporting in January 2019, Nunes has made 76 appearances in Portugal's Primeira Liga, scoring seven goals.

He also scored and provided an assist in Sporting's first two games this season.

Completing the transfer, which would surpass the £35.6m paid to Porto for Fabio Silva in 2020, may help ease some of the tension building up within Wolves' fan-base.

Nunes has been linked with a host of clubs and last week West Ham manager David Moyes said he had tried to sign the 23-year-old.

  7. 'Musk tweet gives Man Utd fans hope'

    BBC Radio 5 Live

Football finance expert Kieran Maguire speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live about Elon Musk's "takeover bid" for Manchester United:"There was a very severe reaction [in the stock market], if we take a look at the share price compared to about a week ago, it has gone up by about $500m.

"There is always interest in Man Utd even if the club has not performed well. However since they were taken over by the Glazer family, the share price has not sparkled.

"Even if Musk does not buy Man Utd, there is hope by fans others might be interested. The relationship between the fans and the Glazer family is quite toxic.

"There is greater organisation by fans, there are protests planned for the next fixture. What fans are now trying to do is target Man Utd's commercial sponsors, to tell them it reflects poorly on their brand. There is some cancel culture in all this.

"The Glazers could walk away if the price is right, but they are convinced there is a bright future for Man Utd.

"Things will improve for Man Utd, it will take time. Football is a game in which people are impatient. Any club where the wage bill is around £174,000 a week should be performing better."

  9. BreakingKehrer speaks...

Thilo Kehrer on his move to the London Stadium: "I'm very excited to sign for West Ham United. This is the best league in the world and I’m excited about coming to play in the Premier League.

“I talked to the manager and he told me about how he sees me fitting in at the club. My biggest goal now is to get into the team, integrate myself within the group and enjoy playing for West Ham.”

  10. 'No panic and signing positives'

Everton defender Mason Holgate says there is "no need to panic" after two defeats to date.

The Toffees have been beaten by Chelsea and Aston Villa so far, and face Nottingham Forest this weekend.

Speaking to BBC Radio Merseyside, Holgate said: "There is no need to panic yet. Yes we'd have liked more than two losses, there's no sugar coating that. It's two games into the season, we are still making signings and gelling. The performances were there. If we start taking our chances I'm sure we will be fine."

Asked about new signing Amadou Onana, Holgate added: "He looks like a really good signing and I think he's going to help us. Not only him, Conor Coady, we've made a lot of good signings. It is going to take us maybe a few more weeks to click properly. Hopefully when it does click it turns into results and is a great season for us.

"Conor and James Tarkowski are two very good players. Ultimately when people are vocal like that it will help us as a team and me as well. Now there is a lot of competition for places and that's good for us going forward."

  11. Could move abroad be good for Alli?

With Everton's Dele Alli linked with Turkish side Besiktas, a move abroad could be good for the midfielder, believes The Daily Telegraph's Luke Edwards.

"We talked about Everton being a fresh start for him," journalist Edwards told the BBC's Transfer Daily podcast.

"We said it was a really good move, he needed to get out of Tottenham and he needed to play every week. I think it’s fair to say he has not made the most of that opportunity.

"I don’t know with Dele Alli whether he still loves football.

"He’s had a chance to relaunch his career at Everton and for whatever reason he hasn’t taken it. He’s still young enough to have four or five really good years playing football at an elite level.

"I don’t think going to Besiktas is that elite level, but maybe going abroad, getting away from everything that is in the UK, maybe it will do him some good.

"I feel really sad about Dele Alli because he is one of the great young English players. If you remember the 2018 World Cup, he was an integral part of the team that got to the semi-final.

"His career since has nose-dived, to put it politely."

  13. 'We should be holding on to bright prospects'

We asked you for your thoughts on Anthony Gordon's future at Everton. Should the club accept a better offer from Chelsea? Or is he needed by the Toffees this season?

Here are some of your thoughts:

Matt: I believe the club has a plan to fill the striker void without the need to sell Gordon. We should be holding on to bright prospects and a local lad who helped drag the club out of trouble. Recently he's been given the number 10 shirt too so he shouldn’t be for sale at any price this season.

Richard: Gordon isn't signing a new contract, so Everton will need to sell him to cash in on their investment and then bring in players who want to play for the club. It feels a bit like the Rooney situation all over again. Who is really orchestrating the talks with Chelsea, Gordon or the board?

Rob: We should sell for £50m+! His end product is disappointing and funds can then be used for urgent forwards.

Derrick: Do not sell. It's about time the building blocks were built higher. Gordon should be an example of that building being built. We need to stop being a feeder club and get some ambition.

Sudesh: I think it’s the right time to sell Gordon to recoup some of the mis-spent money on past transfers. Then spend the money on a new striker who can score goals. Gordon will take time to develop. He's not worth £50m; we should take the money.

Duckthatcow: Always been a big fan of CR7 however he has to go for the sake of the team. This time last year Ole had a plan, following the 2nd place of the previous season. Ronnie's arrival scuppered that plan and we all know what happened next!

ryanflint: If City sell Bernardo Silva, they will regret it. They are fortunate to have him, in fact.

Ahmed Salami: In recent years, Manchester United have spent a lot of their money (not the owners') on transfer fees and player wages. The problem is it has been in a penny-wise-pound-foolish way. It starts with parsimony and ends with overpaying for dross. Watch them do it again.

Ryan Flint: Gallagher should be competing with Kante. Sell Ziyech, Loftus-Cheek, and Pulisic to Newcastle. Too much deadwood confusing the starting XI. Broja not at Chelsea level, great for top eight clubs though.
