  1. Thank you and goodnight...

    FT: Oxford 1-1 Stevenage

That was a pulsating way to begin a run of seven straight days of EFL action here on the BBC Sport website.

After all is said and done Oxford have a three-point lead over seventh-placed Lincoln but the Imps have a game in hand and a better goal difference.

Blackpool could close within a point of the Us too if they can beat Barnsley too.

We'll of course be here from midday to bring you all the thrills and spills from the Championship, League One and Two across more than seven hours of live action.

Thanks for your company this evening... now go and rest up, it's going to be a big weekend,..

  2. 'Good performance from Stevenage'

    FT: Oxford 1-1 Stevenage

    Steve Watkins

Commentator on BBC Three Counties Radio

It's been an entertaining game for sure. It was a good performance for Stevenage when you look at the week they've had. You'd take a point here at the Kassam stadium every time.

  3. FULL-TIME

    Oxford 1-1 Stevenage

Oxford look crestfallen. Lincoln, and even Blackpool, are alive in this play-off race.

Sam Long's unfortunate own-goal was cancelled out by a Cameron Brannagan penalty and several good saves from Craig MacGillivray ensured the hosts could not find a winner.

Oxford had more than enough opportunities to put the game to bed but they will have to endure tomorrow afternoon's fixtures and see where they lie going into the final day of the season.

As for Stevenage, they showed grit and determination and picked up a point against the odds - the hallmark of the club over the last couple of seasons, even though the manager has changed.

  4. Post update

    Oxford 1-1 Stevenage

It's all Oxford as the seconds tick down but Josh Murphy's inviting cross from the left is headed well over the bar by Mark Harris.

That cross was one of the best you'll see.

  5. 'Can Stevenage hang on?'

    Oxford 1-1 Stevenage

    Steve Watkins

Commentator on BBC Three Counties Radio

There's some tired players out there. It's been a fairly frantic, non-stop game and normally we'd be saying what a good point this is for Stevenage - if they can hang on to it.

  6. SUBSTITUTION

    Oxford 1-1 Stevenage

Jordan Roberts and Harvey White are off with Nathan Thomspon and Dan Sweeney coming on for Boro for the rearguard action in the final few minutes.

Three Thompsons on the pitch for the visitors now - they almost need a directory!

  7. FIVE ADDED MINUTES

    Oxford 1-1 Stevenage

It's the yellow and blues who are finishing the stronger and pressing forward...

Harvey White is down on the deck for Boro and a cynic might suggest he is asking for treatment to interrupt Oxford's rhythm.

    FIVE minutes will be added.

  8. 'Stevenage need to see it out'

    Oxford 1-1 Stevenage

    Dean Thompson

    BBC Three Counties Radio commentator

This is good enough from Stevenage but they need to see it out. Alex Revell needs to make a couple of changes in extra time.

  9. YELLOW CARD

    Oxford 1-1 Stevenage

Kane Smith is the third Boro man into the book after trying to swap shirts with Josh Murphy a few minutes too early. The free-kick is wasted, however.

  10. Post update

    Oxford 1-1 Stevenage

Oxford sub Owen Dale shows off some step-overs which wouldn't have looked out of place on the gymnastics floor at Paris 2024 this summer but his cross from the right of the area is cut out.

Finley Stevens' does slightly better with a cross from deeper moments later but Mark Harris jumps a little early and can only flick the ball past the far post.

  11. 'Anxiety among Oxford fans'

    Oxford 1-1 Stevenage

    Steve Watkins

Commentator on BBC Three Counties Radio

You can sense the anxiety in the Oxford fans. Don't know if a point is enough for them.

  12. Post update

    Oxford 1-1 Stevenage

Absolutely breathless stuff in the closing stages. Both teams giving it their all until the very end. Everything is 100% despite it being the end of a long and gruelling season.

  13. CLOSE!

    Oxford 1-1 Stevenage

    How have Stevenage not scored?

Kane Hemmings is played through and rolls the ball across the six-yard line.

Oxford hack the ball away, but it lands with Ben Thompson whose shot takes a big deflection and looks like it will creep inside the post until keeper Jamie Cumming gets a hand to it almost on the line.

  14. SUBSTITUTION

    Oxford 1-1 Stevenage

Elliot List is on for the visitors, replacing Nick Freeman for the closing stages.

  15. GREAT SAVE!

    Oxford 1-1 Stevenage

Oxford spring a devastating break from a Stevenage corner and almost go ahead.

Owen Dale carries the ball and then plays it beyond the defence for Josh Murphy, he takes a touch which drives him a little wide but then slides in a left-footed shot which is brilliantly saved with his boot by the back-tracking Craig McGillivray.

If Boro get something tonight they'll have him to thank for it.

  16. 'Referee causing issues'

    Oxford 1-1 Stevenage

    Steve Watkins

Commentator on BBC Three Counties Radio

It's starting to get tetchy now and it's the referee who's starting to lose things. It's causing issues with the players because you just feel that there's going to be a little flashpoint.

  17. Post update

    Oxford 1-1 Stevenage

Jordan Roberts is adjudged to have fouled Cameron Brannagan as he outmuscled him 25 yards from goal. He looks astonished at referee Tom Nield, and I can understand why. He was just too strong.

The free-kick is cleared but, football is a funny game, Roberts barges into another Us player in an almost identical position and this time he can have no complaints.

Brannagan doesn't punish him, however, as he whips the free-kick well off target.

  18. As it stands...

    Oxford 1-1 Stevenage

Oxford United will be desperate for a winner to make sure their quest for a play-off place remains in their hands.

Lincoln's superior goal difference means two wins for them would be likely to take them above the Us.

Although the Imps do have to play champions Portsmouth in the final game.

Unless Stevenage get three points, they'll definitely be plying their trade in League One next season...

  19. SUBSTITUTION

    Oxford 1-1 Stevenage

Double change for the home side as Ruben Rodrigues and Tyler Goodrham are withdrawn with Billy Bodin and James Henry introduced.

Nesta Guinness-Walker was apparently booked just before their introduction for the visitors too, their second of the night.

  20. Post update

    Oxford 1-1 Stevenage

Josh Murphy blazes down the left wing, getting whitewash on his boots, if that still happens, and drives to the byline before whipping a cross across the face of goal, beating everyone...

His heat map tonight is going to be huge.
