Where are your photos going?

While you own the photos you put on most social media platforms - if your photos are publicly available, they can end up just about anywhere in the world!

It's important to be careful with the information you give away when you post a photograph too. Strangers may be able to see where you are, what you've been doing and could take your photo and use it without your permission, and you don’t want that right?

But fortunately there are ways you can prevent this. First things first, if your profile is set to private, then only your friends, family and people you know have access to it. This way it will be much easier to control who has access to your personal information.

You should also make sure you never post a picture of your mates or family members if you don’t have their permission. Just ask them before you hit that share button and if they are not comfortable with it, respect their decision.
