  3. Vital Sutton win drags Forest Green back into bottom two

    #bbcefl

Only one place to start here...

Bottom side Sutton United picked up a massive win in a real relegation six-pointer at Forest Green.

It was just their second win of the year and it was a moment of real quality from Josh Coley with the only goal of the game.

It was a scrappy basement battle but Sutton won't care as the South London club close the points gap to three points and drag Forest Green back into the bottom two on goal difference.

Colchester move out of the drop zone after their 1-1 draw against Walsall.

Grimsby boosted their survival hopes with a 1-1 draw against play-off hopefuls Gillingham at Priestfield Stadium.

Meanwhile, Doncaster leapfrog Swindon into 18th after their 2-1 win at the County Ground.

  4. Mansfield march on as Wrexham lose ground

    #bbcefl

Mansfield extended the gap at the top of League Two to five points after thumping Bradford 5-1 at Valley Parade.

Wrexham were unable to close the divide after they lost at Tranmere. Stockport have their chance to do just that when they travel to Crawley on Monday.

In the battle of the promotion chasers MK Dons leapfrogged Crewe into fourth with a 3-1 win over Lee Bell's side.

Barrow remain sixth after their goalless draw against Harrogate.

  5. Sinking Cambridge's goal difference takes another hit

    #bbcefl

Fleetwood grabbed a point against Charlton and Cheltenham earned a draw against Barnsley to give their survival hopes a boost, but Cambridge sink closer to the mire after a second thrashing in four days, a 4-0 defeat at Reading following the 6-0 reverse at Lincoln in midweek.

The Us are only four points clear of the bottom-four and have played a game more than Cheltenham, who have a better goal difference to boot.

Carlisle look increasingly doomed after defeat at Shrewsbury while Port Vale were beaten by Oxford to remain effectively seven points from safety, albeit with a game in hand.

  6. Advantage Portsmouth and Derby

    #bbcefl

It's as you were at the top of the pile, but that really, REALLY doesn't tell the story of the afternoon.

Portsmouth fans have not felt comfortable about very much in the last decade or two but surely even the most hard-nosed Blues fan must be starting to allow belief into their heart. They are nine points clear in the push for promotion and five clear of Derby in the race for the title after seeing off Peterborough on the road.

The Rams edged past Bolton in a real six-pointer and now have a four-point lead, with a healthy goal difference, in the race to go up automatically.

Posh lost ground and Barnsley missed the chance to gatecrash the party as they were held by Cheltenham while Oxford are back in the play-offs after beating Port Vale and the Lincoln steamroller rolls on, up to seventh and with an almighty goal difference after a thumping win over Bristol Rovers.

  7. League Two full-time headlines

    #bbcefl

    • Mansfield extend the gap at the top of League Two to five points after thumping Bradford 5-1
    • Tranmere stun Wrexham to win 1-0 at the Racecourse Ground
    • That result means that the second, third and fourth-placed teams are level on points, with MK Dons in the latter spot after beating Crewe 3-1
    • Sutton United take a huge three points from relegation rivals Forest Green, reducing the gap to safety to three points
    • Wimbledon hold onto the final play-off place for now, despite a 2-0 loss at home to Newport
    • Walsall miss the opportunity to take that seventh place after a 1-1 draw at home to Colchester, who climb out of the bottom two on goal difference
    • Notts County twice let a lead slip to draw 2-2 at Accrington
    • Doncaster won away at Swindon to record their third consecutive win at the County Ground for the first time in their history
  8. League One full-time headlines

    #bbcefl

    • Portsmouth have held onto their five-point lead in League One, finding a second-half winner to break down a stubborn Peterborough defence

    • Reading move seven points clear of the relegation zone with a 4-0 victory over Cambridge who are in turn four points clear
    • Fleetwood find a late levelling goal to make it 1-1 at home to Charlton and give their survival hopes a boost
    • There are also wins for Shrewsbury, Wigan, Leyton Orient, Wycombe and Exeter
  9. FULL-TIME

    MK Dons 3-1 Crewe

MK Dons come out on top in this battle of the promotion chasers.

A Matthew Dennis brace and Stephen Wearne with the goals for the Dons was enough for them to leapfrog Crewe to go fourth going level on points with Wrexham and Stockport above them.

Crewe huffed and puffed in the second half but was unable to add to Elliott Nevitt's first half goal.

  10. FULL-TIME

    Bradford 1-5 Mansfield

After a wobble against Tranmere in the week, League Two leaders Mansfield are well and truly back on track.

They blew Bradford away with a great attacking performance in the first half scoring four times with goals from Baily Cargill, Lucas Akins, Davis Keillor-Dunn and Will Swan.

Bradford got a consolation in the second half but Aaron Lewis put the cherry on the icing for the Stags.

  11. FULL-TIME

    Peterborough 0-1 Portsmouth

Kusini Yengi came off the bench to ensure a 1-0 win for Portsmouth who have taken a huge stride towards ending their seven-year torment in League One.

Peterborough created a glut of chances but couldn't take any, while Ephron Mason-Clark rattled the bar.

That is six clean sheets in seven away games and four in a row for John Mousinho's. The Blues are unbeaten in 12. This is surely what champions do?

With seven games remaining, Pompey have a nine point lead in the race for automatic promotion.

  12. FULL-TIME

    Forest Green 0-1 Sutton

Bottom of the table Sutton United get just their second win of the year and it's a big win thanks to Josh Coley's brilliant goal.

The U's will be also be happy with their clean sheet in this huge relegation six pointer.

It was a scrappy basement battle but Sutton won't care as the South London club close the points gap to three points and drag Forest Green back into the bottom two on goal difference.

  13. FULL-TIME

    Derby 1-0 Bolton

Kane Wilson's late header has settled the game of the day in League One.

Rams keeper Joe Wildsmith needs plenty of praise, however, as he made a series of saves to deny Jon Dadi Bodvarsson and George Thomason as Bolton created several chances to go ahead themselves.

With seven games left the Rams are now four points ahead of third-placed Bolton, with a better goal difference, in the race for automatic promotion.

  14. FULL-TIME

    Reading 4-0 Cambridge

Another turbulent week for Reading fans has ended on a high with a thumping win over Cambridge, who began the day level on points with the Royals.

Sam Smith's 11th of the season, against his old club, set them on their way, Femi Azeez's opportunist solo goal on the stroke of half-time gave them a cushion and then fine strikes from Lewis Wing and Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan in the closing stages have given Reading's hopes of avoiding the drop a real boost.

Ruben Selles' side are now seven points clear of fourth-bottom Cheltenham, who do have two games in hand on them.

The Us are only four points ahead, having played a game more than the Robins and with a worse goal difference.

  15. League One latest

    #bbcefl

Fleetwood have given their hopes of staying in League One a boost with a late goal at home to Charlton.

Ryan Graydon has made it 1-1 to cut the gap to safety to five points.

Matt Butcher has his second goal for Wycombe, who now lead Northampton 2-0 at Adams Park.

  16. GOAL: Reading 4-0 Cambridge

    Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan (85 mins)

Reading fans have something to smile about today.

Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan has followed skipper Lewis Wing by smashing the ball into the top corner of Jack Richards' goal and the home fans are loving it.

They have been treated to some stunning goals this afternoon.

The Cambridge fans, who saw their side lose 6-0 at Lincoln on Tuesday, are staring at a 4-0 defeat right now.

  17. League Two latest

    #bbcefl

Jack Nolan's penalty has made it 2-2 for Accrington at home to Notts County - a game in which the visitors have led twice through earlier goals from Jim O'Brien and Alassana Jatta.

Wrexham have had some great chances to level their match at home to Tranmere.

Elliot Lee’s deflected strike has been tipped over the bar, while Jordan Davies has fired a shot wide as we head into the final few minutes.

  18. Post update

    Peterborough 0-1 Portsmouth

The end-to-end pattern continues despite the goal. First Kusini Yengi stings the palms of Jed Steer after a slick piece of skill to outwit Josh Knight, but Harrison Burrows has fizzed a shot just over Will Norris' bar at the other end.

Can Pompey make it a sixth clean sheet in seven away games? If so it's a massive result in the promotion race.

  19. GOAL: Bradford 1-5 Mansfield

    Aaron Lewis (86 mins)

    Mansfield hit five.

Aaron Lewis this time to tap home after his initial effort is saved to get Mansfield back on track in League Two.

  20. Post update

    MK Dons 3-1 Crewe

MK Dons with a good chance to seal it...

Crewe lose possession as Alex Gilbey drives forward but Tom Booth pulls off a good save down to his right to deny him.
