Bristol's award-winning restaurant chain behind the Lounges will open its new Harbourside venue this summer. It comes following news of the upcoming closure of Pitcher & Piano Bristol, which closes on April 13.

And the Lounges team have now confirmed that they will be welcoming the Pitcher & Piano staff to the family, when they open their new Lounge venue in the summer.

A Lounges spokesperson says: “We are in advanced negotiations regarding a site on Bristol’s harbourside and hope to open a Lounge there. We’re really proud of our Bristol heritage and hope that this location will allow us to welcome a new Lounge in our home city.

"Should we be successful in completing this deal, we look forward to the Bristol Pitcher & Piano team joining the Loungers family.”

Lounges was founded in 2002 by a trio of friends, having spent years in the restaurant and bar trade. In August 2022, the team celebrated the 20th anniversary of the opening of the Original Lounge in Bristol.
