THAT’S JUST HEADHUNTER TAX, M8. When I first set up UNKNOWN, I had a realisation… Wait a minute… If the goal is to stand out as an agency by making distinctive work with divergent voices… We can’t expect to hire from the same places and see a different result? Surely, if an agency is based on bringing new, innovative and impactful ideas to brands, you can’t just keep on asking the same people? SURELY, as the recruitment company… if you just send lists of the same people to the same places, that’s a bit like charging headhunter tax isn’t it? Don’t get me wrong. Sometimes, the best person for the big job is sitting directly at your rivals. A lot of our searches go that way. But, how cool would it be if you brought someone in that could do the job plus 5% more? - Perhaps they win your creative agency a rebranding brief. - Perhaps they win your design agency a digital web build brief. - Perhaps they find a way for your brand to spend 50% less money on bad paid ads. Who knows? All we know is that when you welcome new perspectives, you end up unlocking new opportunities. And that all starts with being open. Or briefing us 🤭
