Gogglebox stars Pete and Sophie Sandiford’s real jobs away from the sofa revealed – after she was made redundant
Pete previously admitted they couldn't afford to give up their day jobs
THEY are best known for their funny quips on the Gogglebox sofa, but away from the TV Pete and Sophie Sandiford have very different lives.
The siblings, who joined the show back in 2018, both have jobs away from the show after previously admitting it doesn’t pay enough.

In news that might surprise fans, Pete, 29, is a building company boss, while Sophie, 28, is a florist.
Sophie was previously working in Debenhams, but in 2021 she revealed she was made redundant when the department store chain collapsed and closed stores across the UK.
She has since qualified and now has her own business called Petali Floristry.

Pete meanwhile used to work in insurance, but has since become a roofer and runs his own building business.

He previously told The Sun he had no plans to give it up saying: "I have got to pay my mortgage somehow."
The star also added how strange it was that he gets recognised, telling us: “I am just a builder from Blackpool, so it is a bit strange when celebrities know us. I was on a roof yesterday."
As part of the Googlebox cast, the siblings have to commit to 12 hours of filming each week, and they get paid £1,500 a month to do so, which they must split between each other.
Pete is married to a woman called Paige, with whom he shares two children – Jimmy and Evie.

Sophie meanwhile is dating Ben McKeown, who she went public with last year.
Pete recently cleared up any confusion there was about who house they filmed in – revealing it was his but he moved out.

He told Heat magazine: "So, it was my house originally. I had it for years and then I split with the girl I was seeing and thought: 'I don't really want to live here any more.'
"Then Soph moved in on the sly, didn't you?"
She replied: "Yeah, then I took over the whole house."
He added: "Soph bought the house off me and I moved out, and now me and Paige have our own house."
