TRAVEL show Emissions Impossible is to resume filming after it came to an abrupt halt six months ago, I can reveal.

It was hosted by Gino D’Acampo and Fred Sirieix but ended with a nasty toboggan accident. And the production days in Austria lasted so long that Gino ended up with a fever.

ITV seems to have smoothed things over with the angry Italian chef and they are going back to the Alps next month.

A TV insider said: “It’s quite unusual for a show to be shelved quite so spectacularly, only to be brought back months later.

“Usually they end up getting written off completely. But ITV clearly felt like this was worth going the extra mile for. Emissions Impossible was all about being greener when travelling.

“Ironically, by the time they’ve finished filming, all the presenters, producers and crew will have flown from Britain into Europe — and back again — twice.”

The show went belly up in October after the accident and Gino’s illness, which led to him saying: “Everything was a shambles.”

The two-parter was also due to go around the Croatian islands. Plans for a second series were left hanging in the balance.

Thankfully there has been a thawing of relations and if the revived filming goes well, the sequel could still be on.

JIMMY'S KILLER COMEDY

JIMMY CARR is trying something new in his Netflix comedy special by talking more openly about himself.

But the quick-fire comedian, who stars in one-man stand-up show Natural Born Killer on the streaming service, will go back to the one-liners after giving his audience longer jokes about his life.

He told Virgin Radio: “There have been four Netflix specials, and I think 12 overall. This one is a bit different to the last one – a bit more talking about myself, a bit more talking about being a father, giving advice to young men.

“My love language is always going to be one-liners, and incredibly edgy one-liners.”

This won’t be the last time Jimmy appears on the platform, and he added: “There will be another one.”

JOEL LETS RIP ABOUT WAXING

JOEL Dommett returns to our screens this weekend and wastes no time re-engaging – with a cheeky tale about the pleasure and pain of waxing himself.

The comedian and presenter has been away for a while following the birth of his first child.

But he is back with ITV1 game show In With A Shout at 6.30pm on Saturday.

Two families compete for a cash pot by shouting answers at montages of moving images.

The banter begins when contestant Kirsty reveals her brother Jamie likes to wax his bottom.

Then Joel reveals: “I’ve got to be honest with you Jamie, I have waxed down there once – and it is incredible.”

He adds: “I haven’t done it since, because it really hurt.”

Perhaps it’s a good job Joel isn’t the one answering questions.

RUSSELL: MY NO TO STRICTLY

RUSSELL KANE could have fulfilled his lifelong dream of becoming a dancer – if he had gone on Strictly.

He told fellow comic Russell Howard that despite being offered to go on the show twice, he had to say no over fears he’d appear flash and upset people.

Russ said on the Wonderbox podcast: “I love dancing so much. I’ve been moving since I was born.

“I had to be checked over by the obstetrician because I was born writhing, and I’ve been super- energetic from the moment I can remember.

“Had I not come from a s**thole council estate with a knuckle-cracking, shaven-headed, steroid-injecting bouncer dad, I probably would’ve done something in dancing. “I don’t do anything with it now because I don’t want to turn into one of those Russells that’s like, ‘I’m also a dancer’. No, I’m a f***ing comic. I’m lucky to be one.

“I’ve been offered Strictly twice and said no twice.”

ANT and Dec were in party mood behind the scenes ahead of their final Saturday Night Takeaway at the weekend.

The duo shared pictures from the warm-up ahead of the farewell after 22 years. Although the emotional live goodbyes came later, they were celebrating with party hats and confetti in the run-up to show.

The pair were joined by guests including Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary.

Amid the script-read, recording voice-overs and rehearsing their performance with McFly, there was time for fun and hugs.

EMMA ON ROAD TO THRILLER

EMMA Thompson will play a detective in TV thriller Down Cemetery Road.

The Sense And Sensibility actress appears alongside Luther’s Ruth Wilson in the new drama.

Ruth’s character Sarah Tucker becomes obsessed with finding a child she is convinced is missing after a house in a quiet suburb in Oxford explodes.

She enlists the help of private eye Zoe Boehm – played by Emma – and the pair discover that people long believed dead are actually still alive.

The series, which is expected to appear on Apple TV+ later this year, follows the success of the streaming service’s thriller Slow Horses, starring Gary Oldman and Jack Lowden as MI5 agents.
