The Made of Stronger Stuff presenter recently announced that his wife Dolly Theis had given birth to a healthy baby boy, whom they named Rex Patrick Anthony van Hoogenhouck-Tulleken.

Dr Xand is married to Doctor Dolly, who is a visiting researcher at the MRC Epidemiology Unit, University of Cambridge and a former Conservative Party candidate for Vauxhall

The dad of two - who has a son named Julian from a previous relationship - introduced his adorable newborn to his Morning Live co-stars during today’s instalment of the beloved programme.

As the gorgeous baby boy appeared on the screen via video call, everyone in the studio including hosts Gethin Jones and Janette Manrara and guests Matt Allwright, Dr Punam, and Briony May Williams were left in awe over the tiny tot who lay blissfully unaware of his stardom.

Speaking on how everything was going with the new addition Dr Xand said: "It is absolutely extraordinary.

“Dolly has been amazing. If anyone wants advice on how to be the best husband out there, my only tip is to get a good eight hours of sleep every night which is sort of what I've been doing.

“Dolly has been up feeding and figuring everything out.

Dr Xands added: "We're so lucky. We are in our bubble."
