Glasgow city bosses have postponed the introduction of evening parking charges in a move described as a “huge relief” by businesses.

The council changed its mind on the decision to extend Glasgow’s parking charges to 10pm after resistance from members of the night-time economy.

The Night Time Industries Association (NTIA) Scotland welcomed Glasgow city council’s postponement of a policy “that would significantly burden” night-time businesses.
