Young people are being forced to drop out of university due to a lack of accommodation in what academics have called a “national crisis”.

Alister Wedderburn, lecturer in international relations at the University of Glasgow, claimed his governors are “pursuing such unsustainable increases in student numbers that many students are without accommodation as term starts”.
