Patrick Grant knows a lot about suits. The Edinburgh-born fashion designer — he is the director of the Savile Row tailor Norton & Sons and founder and creative director of the label Community Clothing, as well as a judge on the hit BBC series The Great British Sewing Bee — was even once named fifth best-dressed man in Britain (beating Harry Styles). But post-pandemic “all the old rules regarding suits are now in the bin”, he says, which is why he has written a book on modern tailoring, The Savile Row Suit.
