Paul McCartney and John Lennon’s sons come together in ode to Primrose Hill

Their parents famously sang about their hometown of Liverpool in ­Strawberry Fields Forever. Now two of the Beatles’ sons have collaborated on a song about Primrose Hill, the north London landmark.

James McCartney, son of the Beatles star, has released a single named after the hill with a little help from his friend, Sean Ono Lennon. The pair, whose fathers were the band’s primary songwriters, co-wrote the acoustic ballad in tribute to the viewpoint north of Regent’s Park.

McCartney, 46, has previously contributed to solo albums by his parents, Paul and Linda, and released music of his own, most recently a single called Beautiful in February.
