Rise of Brotox: Men turn to cosmetic treatments to stay youthful

Rugged good looks are so last century. For modern men, scars, blemishes and laughter lines are decidedly out of fashion and they are increasingly turning to “tweakments” and “Brotox” to keep their faces looking fresh.

The British College of Aesthetic Medicine said that the number of men opting for injections to make them look younger and more handsome had increased 70 per cent in the past two years. Male customers now take up nearly one in five appointments.

Injections can take the form of Botox, which works by relaxing muscles to even out wrinkles, or fillers to sculpt the shape of the face by, for example, accentuating the jaw or cheek bones. There are injections available that can freshen the look of skin. The demand
