Police have issued a fresh appeal for information about the mysterious shooting of a dog walker in Perthshire, saying “somebody knows something”.

Brian Low, the 65-year-old former groundskeeper at a 4,000-acre Scottish estate, was fatally shot on a remote track three weeks ago.

His body was found at about 8.30am on February 17 near the hamlet of Pitilie on the outskirts of Aberfeldy. His black labrador was found unharmed and still by his side.

Detectives are “urgently appealing” for anyone with information to come forward. Police have spoken to 145 people in the area and are going door-to-door making inquiries, as well as asking for residents to send in any CCTV, dash cam or doorbell footage from around the time of Low’s death.
