Helen Bates, 58, an executive assistant, and Phil Dolphin, 60, a retired finance director, were married on October 14, 2023, at Hampden House, in Great Hampden, Buckinghamshire
Helen and Phil refer to part one and part two of their relationship. In part one, they dated for five and a half years, and then did not see one another for 25 years. In part two, they reunited and married.
They met working for the manufacturing company Courtaulds in 1991. As a couple, they were close, but did not socialise together. Helen lived in west London with three friends and Phil was based in St Albans.
