Johnny Depp is an American actor, musician and producer, known for his performances in Pirates of the Caribbean, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street and Finding Neverland. In 2012 he was revealed to be the world’s highest-earning actor, with earnings of $75 million. Between 2015 to 2017 he was married to Amber Heard. Their divorce drew significant media coverage after she alleged that he had abused her during their relationship. He sued The Sun after being labelled by the newspaper as a “wife beater”, but lost his libel claim after Heard’s allegations were found to be “substantially true”.
