  2. Good news at last for Derby?

    It's been a worrying time for fans of Derby County but is there some good news at last for the troubled club?

    Local property developer David Clowes says he will make a bid to buy Derby County on Friday after purchasing the League One club's Pride Park stadium.

    His company, Clowes Developments (UK) Ltd, have also given a loan to the club to allow them to start next season.

    The bid to buy Derby, who have been in administration since September, is due to be submitted later on Friday.

    "With a deadline looming and the start of the next season getting closer, we needed to do something," Clowes said.

    Nottingham Forest bid farewell to midfielder Philip Zinckernagel as he joins Olympiacos.

    The Dane was on loan at Forest from Watford last year and helped them secure promotion to the Premier League.

  9. 'I want to make my Dad proud'

    England defender Rachel Daly said it will be "hard for me" if she makes her 50th appearance at Elland Road without her dad in attendance.

    Her father died in September before England's 10-0 win over Luxembourg, in which Daly scored and wore a wrist band with the word 'Dad' on it.

    Harrogate-born Daly is a lifelong Leeds fan and began her career with the club.

    "It will be hard for me that he is not there but he will have the best seat in the house," said Daly.

    "My dad was a die-hard Leeds fan and he was the person who made me the biggest Leeds fan.

    "If I can make him proud, then that is all that matters to me."

  13. Lukaku in wage cut to return to Inter

    A bit more detail about Romelu Lukaku's impending return to Inter Milan on loan.

    The Daily Mirror say Inter have agreed to pay Chelsea a £7m fee - plus add-ons.

    They claim Lukaku has also had to make concessions to seal his return to Italy, agreeing a salary cut from £325,000 per-week to around £210,000.
