"Newcastle were impressive at the weekend. Eddie's done a fantastic job," said Potter.

"He's improved them as a team and improved individuals. I have a lot of respect for the job he's done."

Moises Caicedo was another of Graham Potter's squad to catch the Brighton manager's eye after the away victory against Manchester United.

"Everyone looks up to him and he's playing really well. We're just happy he's enjoying his football.

"It's much too early to start talking about a timetable - but his personality traits give him the chance to come back as good as ever," said Marsch.

Marsch added Dallas' influence on the squad is "huge", as the 31-year-old is sat at the club's Thorp Arch training ground "every day".

Southampton v Leeds (Sat, 15:00 BST)

The weather will play a factor during this weekend's football fixtures as even warmer conditions are forecast across the country.

Due to the soaring temperatures, drinks breaks have been implemented for Premier League matches.

"Every game is a massive challenge. Southampton won’t be easy, it’s going to be very hot, so we’ll have to manage that," said the Leeds boss.

Marsch added that he has had good results in in the American MLS when playing in the heat, and understands how a team needs to adapt in terms of pressing and substitutions.
