  1. Rangers drop points on dramatic night

    FT: Dundee 0-0 Rangers

Well, there were no goals but it was a dramatic night nonetheless in the Scottish Premiership.

Rangers clawed a point back on Celtic, but not winning feels very costly. They are three points behind with five games left, but more importantly their form has fallen off a cliff.

Dundee are pursuing European football now, though. They are two points off fourth.

You can watch the highlights on Sportscene at 23:30 on BBC Scotland and the iPlayer.

  2. 'The squad is growing at a pivotal time' - Docherty

    FT: Dundee 0-0 Rangers

Dundee manager Tony Docherty has been speaking to Sportsound: "I thought it was a fantastic team performance. The performance level was really, really strong.

"The clean sheets in the last two games show the progression we are making as a team.

"We have a strong, resilient team there with a laser focus on each game.

"I had put it to the players to try keep a clean sheet, and you seen that, the amount of work that we did off the ball.

"We are fourth in the table for scoring so you are always confident we are going to steal a goal.

"Going into a pivotal time in the season, we have a squad that are growing and growing.

"This group of players and the staff work really hard. We've ticked off a few objectives already, the first was just to retain our league status."

  3. Post update

    FT: Dundee 0-0 Rangers

Right, last word to Dundee boss Tony Doc. What a job he has done this season.

  4. Post update

    FT: Dundee 0-0 Rangers

    Rory Loy

Former Dundee striker on BBC Sportsound

There's stats, and then there's what your eye tells you. My eyes told me a draw was a fair result.

I think Philippe Clement is accentuating the positives because he was negative on Sunday after they lost ground.

I personally think the title is all but gone. But it doesn't do anyone any good to come out and be negative.

  5. 'Nothing to do with focus' - Clement

    FT: Dundee 0-0 Rangers

Here's more from Rangers manager Philippe Clement on Sportsound: "If we win all the games, we still have our fate in our hands.

"The focus was there today, it was nothing to do with focus, desire or will. It was to do with efficiency and being decisive in the final third.

"In October, for all the fans, the league was over. If we win the last five games, then they are going to be very happy.

"So, we are going to fight for that like the team has done for the six months I have been with them.

"We are going to fight hard until the end to be decisive in the league."

  6. 'We were the best team by far' - Clement

    FT Dundee 0-0 Rangers

Rangers manager Philippe Clement has been speaking to Sportsound: "We should have won this game, we were the best team by far.

"The most possession by far, the most chances. Things didn't go our side with saves from the goalkeeper and blocks from other players.

"We've always been a team who scores a lot of goals, that's disappointing not taking the deserved three points.

"Today, I was disappointed. I was angry after the Ross County game because we lost our structure and our football in a big part of the game.

"That was not the case today, we played attacking football with a lot of players in front."

  7. Manager reaction incoming

    FT: Dundee 0-0 Rangers

Right, Rangers manager Philippe Clement has been speaking to our reporter Brian McLauchlin live on Sportsound.

We'll give you his quotes in two ticks...

  8. Dundee need to 'keep pushing'

    FT: Dundee 0-0 Rangers

Dundee midfielder and player of the match Luke McCowan on Sportsound: "It was hard they had a lot of possession. But we just knew when we got it we had to believe in ourselves.

"The message was just to keep a clean sheet and take our chances. We were a wee bit unlucky at the end.

"It's a massive collective, everyone has played their part this season. The message with five games to go is just to keep pushing.

"Ross County getting the victory [against Rangers] on Sunday gives us belief. I thought everyone was amazing.

"You just want to take each game as it comes and keep pushing and working hard and see where it takes us.

"It's credit to the players and staff behind the scenes who are working their bums off. The gaffer sends the message we don't need to fear anyone.

"We haven't been good enough against the Old Firm this year but I thought we were superb."

  9. 'Rangers can't handle the pressure'

    FT: Dundee 0-0 Rangers

    Rory Loy

Former Dundee striker on BBC Sportsound

I don't think that Rangers have dealt well with the pressure. Some of their stalwarts, Tavernier, Goldson, Lundstram, have been in this position before and they don't react well to it. They can't seem to handle it.

  10. Fans vent frustration

    FT: Dundee 0-0 Rangers

As you might expect, the Rangers players going to timidly applaud their fans were given short shrift by the travelling support.

They were desperate for their team to stand up, and they didn't tonight.

  11. FULL-TIME - Dundee 0-0 Rangers

A shattering blow to Rangers' title hopes.

They've picked up five points from their last 15 available. Their nerve is deserting them at the crucial point in the season yet again.

There was no visible response from Sunday's defeat by Ross County. The gap is only three points, but now even a win at Celtic Park might not be enough.

Dundee were magnificent again. They looked every inch a top-six side. They move two points behind fifth-place St Mirren and will battle for a European spot.

  12. Post update

    Dundee 0-0 Rangers

    Dundee go on the attack.

Luke McCowan feeds Dara Costelloe, whose shot is blocked. Then McCowan's shot is blocked.

Tom Lawrence launches a break, but then fires a horrific pass behind Rabbi Matondo and it goes into touch.

    That sums Rangers up tonight.

  13. 'Dessers' first touch letting him down'

    Dundee 0-0 Rangers

    Rory Loy

Former Dundee striker on BBC Sportsound

That's a couple of times now where Dessers' first touch has gone at least ten yards of front of him. When it ricochets back to him he panics.

  14. Post update

    Dundee 0-0 Rangers

Is there going to be one final dramatic twist?

  15. Three minutes added

    Dundee 0-0 Rangers

Is it unfair to say Rangers have three minutes to save their title hopes?

Maybe, but it's what it feels like.

  16. Post update

    Dundee 0-0 Rangers

    Rory Loy

Former Dundee striker on BBC Sportsound

I don't understand why Costelloe hasn't shot. He's left footed, he's coming inside. It's a difficult pass and would have been difficult to control. I don't understand how he has come to the conclusion not to shoot there.

  17. Post update

    Dundee 0-0 Rangers

    Not this time.

James Tavernier curls the ball wide of Jon McCracken's right-hand post. Not his best.

Still time, but Rangers' need is critical.

  18. Post update

    Dundee 0-0 Rangers

Rangers free kick 25 yards out after Ross McCausland is scythed down.

Is James Tavernier going to bail his team out again here?

  19. Post update

    Dundee 0-0 Rangers

Dara Costelloe has not had a good night since coming on.

Dundee break and he has a perfect chance on his stronger left foot to curl a shot from the edge of the box, but he tries to slide in a team-mate and fails to find him.

    Why didn't he shoot?!

  20. Post update

    Dundee 0-0 Rangers

James Tavernier pops up at the back post to get a head on Rabbi Matondo's cross.

It was a weak effort though. The Rangers captain then has a dig at Cyriel Dessers for not reacting.
