Wimbledon: Williams and Murray win in mixed doubles

Katie Boulter's reward for beating Karolina Pliskova is a third-round match against the woman who knocked out Serena Williams in the first round: Harmony Tan.

France's Tan followed up that thrilling win over the seven-time champion with a straight-set victory over Sara Sorribes Tomo, so she'll likely provide a robust examination of Boulter's credentials.

That one will get going at around 11:00 BST.

There's a couple of tasty looking matches on Court One, too, starting with Britain's Liam Broady's third-round match against Australia's Alex De Minaur, who took out Jack Draper on Thursday evening.

Following that, world number one Iga Swiatek looks to extend her streak to 38 wins when she faces France's Alize Cornet.

Then it's a real blockbuster as the always-entertaining Nick Kyrgios faces Greek fourth seed Stefanos Tsitsipas. That one can't come soon enough.

French Open finalist Coco Gauff opens the play on Centre Court against fellow American Amanda Anisimova.

Following that is another women's blockbuster as Spanish fourth seed Paula Badosa takes on two-time champion Petra Kvitova, before Rafael Nadal bids to keep his dream of a calendar Grand Slam alive when he takes on Italy's Lorenzo Sonego.

I think Venus loves the game so much that she wants to come back and play singles. Whether her body can keep up now at this age, only she knows.

This is a step for her to test it out, see how far she can push it.

I wouldn’t be surprised if she was trying to come back for the US Open.

Venus Williams actually looks a bit emotional, almost in disbelief that she's back winning on a show court at Wimbledon.

She and Jamie Murray will face the all-British pairing of Jonny O'Mara and Alicia Barnett in the second round.

First blood goes to Murray/Williams as a heavy Rosolska return plants down way over the baseline. Venus brings them level in the centre, before Murray sends Rosolska's serve into the net.

Williams casts a frustrated figure as she shoots long, before Venus and Rosolska wrap up the hold.

Michael Venus steals the first point on Venus Williams' serve with a little helping hand from the net cord, and they take the second as a reactive Jamie Murray hit fails to clear the net.

Murray and Williams scramble back to level at 30-30, and this is a game they really need to hold. Great work from the Scot at the net brings up 40-30, and again to seal the hold.

Michael Venus and Alijca Rosolska take the first point but a mistake from Venus allows Jamie Murray and Venus Williams to nab a point back off them.

At 30-30, a sublime return from Murray gives him and Williams break point, but a big Venus serve is too much for Williams to handle. To deuce we go.

Murray then struggles to deal with Venus' himself, and the New Zealander slams down an ace to hold that game.

Jamie Murray and Venus Williams now just feels like they're on a roll here, the momentum is fully with them.

They will want to make sure now that they don't let Michael Venus breeze through this game, they want to make him work hard and make him play as well many balls as possible.

Not quite yet. A couple of double faults offer Michael Venus and Alijca Rosolska a glimmer of hope.

Venus Williams takes off some pace and finds an angle from way off the protractor on her next serve to leave Michael Venus rooted for a clean ace on the next point.

Michael Venus has plenty of meteors to launch though as well.

He cracks down some jumbo serves to hold to love, just like Jamie did.
