Chris Pine channelled his character Darren Barrenman at the Los Angeles premiere of his directorial debut, Poolman, with co-stars Danny DeVito and Jennifer Jason Leigh.
The 43-year-old actor plays the aforementioned title character in the indie comedy, which he also directed, produced and co-wrote with Ian Gotler.
The film debuted at the Toronto International Film Festival, where it earned rather poor reviews, though it was picked up for distribution by Vertical Entertainment.
Pine not only dressed seemingly in character, but even arrived in the character's van for a pool-cleaning company he owns called Awesome Aquatics.
The actor/director stepped out in the exact ensemble his character wears in the film, as seen in the trailer released earlier this month.

The multi-hyphenate also donned tight light-blue Banks Journal shorts while completing his look with brown work boots.
He even rolled up to the Vista Theatre in the Los Feliz area of Los Angeles in the same work van his character uses in the film, with a white sign for Awesome Aquatics.

The film was first announced in February 2022, with Pine revealing later that year that he had the idea for this character years ago, though a conversation with his Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins (who produces the film) lead to him directing.
Poolman follows Pine's Barrenman, whose undying journey to make his hometown of Los Angeles a better place has annoyed city councilman Steven Tornkowsky (Stephen Tobolowsky).
He's approached by the councilman's assistant (DeWanda Wise), who reveals that he's 'dirty,' as he goes undercover and unearths quite the scandal.
