A man murdered on a hillside near Aberfeldy died from a shotgun wound to the neck and chest, his death certificate has revealed.

Brian Low was shot on a muddy track near his home just south of the Perthshire town almost six weeks ago.

Details of his death have been registered with Perth & Kinross council. The death certificate states the cause as “shotgun wound to neck and chest” and records that Low died three days before his 66th birthday, The Courier newspaper said.

The certificate says his body was found at 9am on February 17 on a farm track at Pitilie, a short distance from the cottage he shared with his partner.
