How to contact us

You can email us at [email protected]

We receive a lot of emails, texts and tweets each day and do our best to read them all, but we can’t promise to reply to them all individually.

You can also join us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter: @bbcasiannetwork.

Tracklistings for most of our shows can be found online – just head to our Schedules page and navigate to the date and programme you want. You can also contact some of our DJs directly via their programme pages online.

Complaints: If you have a complaint about any aspect of the BBC, including our shows and services, please go to the BBC Complaints website.

Texting us: You can text us on 81869. Texts will not be included in your inclusive text bundles, and the exact cost of each message depends on your service provider - it is typically between 10 and 15 pence per message. MMS (Picture) messages may cost more - you should check with your service provider for exact details. Please make sure you take care when entering our number as some subscription services have similar numbers to ours.

Phone: If a DJ asks for callers or we are running competitions we usually use the number 03459 440 445. At other times, sending a text or email is the best idea as the phone line is not always manned and your call is unlikely to be answered.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get a work experience placement on the Asian Network?

Decide which Asian Network department you would like work experience in and apply via the BBC Work Experience Site.

How do I send you my music to listen to?

BBC Asian Network is committed to supporting new Asian artists.

If you are a new band, singer/songwriter or bedroom producer and think your music deserves to be heard by more people then we want to hear from you. Submit your music using the the BBC Introducing Uploader.

By submitting your music to us through the BBC Introducing Uploader, you are giving yourself the chance of getting played out on BBC Asian Network, across other BBC Radio stations, and maybe even playing at one of the BBC Asian Network or BBC Introducing stages.

You can also submit music by emailing [email protected] – please include download links and some information on you and the release. Unfortunately, we aren't able to give feedback on individual tracks, but we’ll give it a listen and play it if we like it!

How do I request a track or shout out?

You can try texting or tweeting the show on-air, but we do get thousands of shout out requests each day and can usually only mention a handful of people. Please don’t be upset if the DJ doesn’t mention you.
