To use the BBC Sounds skill on Alexa you need to connect your BBC account. It’s quick and easy to sign in and you only need to do it once.
We’ve made this change to give a personalised experience on Alexa. For example, you’ll be able to pick up a podcast exactly where you left off on another device. You’ll also be able to “Ask BBC Sounds for my local news” and get local news bulletins personalised to the postcode in your BBC account.
It also helps us understand more about what people are listening to, to make sure we’re better serving all of our audience.
