FormatLab at TRC is a new training programme based in Glasgow that aims to create the next wave of entertainment development talent for Scotland. It’s been our pleasure to welcome the talented delegates to our Kelvin Hall, Elstree, and Television Centre facilities over the last nine months to give them a flavour of the industry. Last week we hosted the fantastic pupils of Old Oak Primary School, who had a great time exploring our facilities and learning about the industry. A big thank you to Old Oak Primary School, Iona McCartney and Hammersmith & Fulham Council for bringing us together. It gives us great joy to engage with the local community.

It's been an honour to host the launch of Final Pixel Academy's Fellowship Programme in association with Screen Scotland and Nightsky Studios at our Kelvin Hall studio in Glasgow today. A very special congratulations to Christopher Spicer, our very own supervisory engineer who has been awarded a place!

To mark Discover! Creative Careers Week 2023, BBC Studioworks, BBC East Enders and BBC Studios Drama welcomed 30 students to Albert Square last weekend. The students, who study at The Chauncy School and Parmiter’s School, were given a tour of the set, as well as the opportunity to hear about creative career prospects at the BBC. A big thank you to ScreenSkills and Discover Creative Careers for including us in this wonderful initiative.

It’s not every day you get to meet one of your heroes AND have cake! Today we welcomed the one and only Pudsey to our Studioworks' BBC Children in Need bake sale at Television Centre. A big thank you to everyone who donated, we can’t wait for the appeal show this Friday.
