Trains to Heathrow Airport

Getting a train to Heathrow Airport is simple, with excellent links from London and across the UK.

How to get to Heathrow Airport by train

Heathrow Airport has its own station, Heathrow Airport train station. To get there from central London, you have two train lines that serve this station: the Heathrow Express and the Elizabeth Line.

The Heathrow Express is a direct train from London Paddington, which takes approximately 15 minutes.

Two underground stations go to all three terminals at Heathrow Airport. These are the Piccadilly and Elizabeth line. The Piccadilly Line is the fastest way to get to Heathrow from central London, but it only stops at Terminals 1, 2, and 3.

The Elizabeth line is a slower train, but it stops at terminals 2, 3, 4, and 5 (not 1). The Elizabeth Line also stops at Liverpool Street, which is useful if travelling from North or East London

If travelling to Heathrow from around the country, London Euston, has connections to all corners of the UK. Once at Euston, take the short walk to Euston Square station and board the Circle or Hammersmith and City Line train to London Paddington.

From here you can get to London Paddington and catch the Heathrow Express.
