What to do at the Keswick Mountain Festival

Keswick Mountain Festival is captivating, set against the backdrop of Derwentwater and Borrowdale.

It's here that festival-goers can camp, explore and enjoy a range of outdoor activities across the four-day weekend. These include running, cycling, swimming, hiking, caving, and more, which are all open for visitors to watch or take part in.

Some events were rolled back for the 2023 festival. However, there’s still plenty to challenge and entertain friends and families.

You can take on trail runs of 5km, 10km, 25km, and 50km across some of the UK’s most challenging terrain. Or, you can enjoy a guided hike across the Borrowdale Skyline or Stoneycroft Ghyll Scramble. Alternatively, you can try your hand at rock climbing, canoeing or field archery.

That's not all, as you can explore the Festival Village for a delicious meal and a couple of pints in one of Keswick’s pubs, cafes, or restaurants.
