Glasgow Central

Glasgow Central Station is located on Gordon Street in the heart of Glasgow City centre. Close to key shopping streets like Buchanan Street, it’s also close to the River Clyde that borders the south side of the city, making it easy to get to from across Glasgow.

Glasgow Central Station is close to many of Glasgow’s main attractions. It’s close to the major shopping streets in the city, as well as a wide variety of bars and restaurants. It’s also within walking distance of some of the city’s most famous sights, such as the cathedral, necropolis, and Glasgow Green.

Within walking distance of Buchanan Street, the station is easily reachable on foot from the city centre, and can be reached by bus, subway or train from other areas of the city.

Glasgow Airport is located just over 9 miles from Glasgow Central Station, and can easily be reached by taxi or bus. There are taxi ranks outside both the station and the airport, and the airport bus runs from outside the main airport terminal to Buchanan Bus Station, roughly a 15 minute walk from Glasgow Central Station - although you can also get off the bus at St Vincent Street, near the station.
