What to do at the Parklife Festival in Manchester

Parklife Festival Manchester is one of the biggest urban summer music events in the UK.

The event occurs in early June, being held on 10th and 11th June in 2023. There are often international headliners playing across Saturday and Sunday in the grounds of Heaton Park. Famous for its mix of music genres and artists, 2023 will see Little Simz, The 1975, The Prodigy, and Aitch take to one of the nine festival stages.

Both day and weekender tickets are available for this non-camping festival. This makes it a great place to relax with friends or soak up Manchester’s party and music culture.

Feel the buzz of the main Parklife stage, take a break in one of the chill-out zones, or enjoy a delicious snack or meal from one of the many street food stands. With organic, vegetarian and vegan needs all catered for, everyone can get well-fuelled for any party.

If you fancy being treated like a star, you can opt for a VIP ticket. This gives access to luxury loos, back door entrances, and a ’90s cocktail lounge. Even if you don’t catch the headliners, plenty of bars, entertainers, and artistic installations give the festival its eclectic vibe. This makes it a must-visit adults-only music event.

About Parklife Festival Manchester

Established in 2010, Parklife Festival Manchester was created by the team behind the city’s famous Warehouse Project club nights.

Originally held in the city centre district of Rusholme, the festival moved to its current location, Heaton Park, in 2012. Just five miles from the centre of Manchester, the park has been home to music events since the early 1900s, including Oasis and Stone Roses concerts.

As the biggest festival in Manchester, Parklife is packed full of the alternative vibes and party culture that makes the city famous. With a range of performing artists from across the world, the event also promotes local talent. Be sure to head to the smaller stages to catch a glimpse of the next big star.

Some of the event’s profits go towards a Parklife Community Fund. This supports projects that prioritise Manchester’s parks and open spaces or benefit young people in the local area, with £65,000 raised after Parklife 2022.
